We are hiring a Senior Agile Coach / Scrum Master for a client in the DACH region. In this role, you will coach Scrum Masters, work with multiple teams, advise leadership on delivery, and drive measurable process improvement. Fluent German and English are both mandatory.
Please note: the client is looking specifically for a dedicated Scrum Master or Agile Coach background. Profiles rooted in project management or PMO work without genuine Scrum Master or coaching experience are not a fit for this role.
Responsibilities
- Coach Scrum Masters through regular one-to-ones, facilitation feedback, and support in difficult situations.
- Build a shared standard for the Scrum Master role and develop a community of practice.
- Facilitate planning, dailies, reviews, and retrospectives that end in clear decisions.
- Choose the right methods for each team’s context.
- Analyze and redesign processes, making bottlenecks and handovers visible.
- Coach Product Owners on backlog management, prioritization, and outcome-based roadmaps.
- Introduce and track delivery metrics: cycle time, throughput, and predictability.
- Advise leadership on team structure, budgeting, and decision paths.
- Coordinate multiple teams, including dependencies and scaled frameworks.
- Show teams how to use AI tools in their daily work.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years as a dedicated Scrum Master or Agile Coach with proven results across multiple teams.
- Proven experience coaching other Scrum Masters (one-to-ones, facilitation feedback, community of practice).
- Broad and deep knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, Lean, OKRs, Design Thinking, and Impact Mapping, with the judgment to adapt, combine, or drop methods.
- Strong process analysis skills: modeling, measuring, and improving workflows.
- Hands-on experience with delivery metrics: cycle time, throughput, predictability.
- Leadership coaching experience and the ability to influence without formal authority.
- Practical, hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence.
- Recognized certification: PSM II or III, CSM, SAFe, or ICAgile.
- Fluent German for facilitation, coaching, and documentation.
- Fluent English at the same level.
- Working Hours: aligned with the client’s team in the DACH region (CET).
Nice to have
- Practical use of AI tools for teamwork and process improvement.
- Experience with scaled frameworks: SAFe, LeSS, or Nexus. Background in software development, product management, or digital transformation.
- Experience in industrial or regulated environments. Coaching qualification (ICF or similar).
